Andhra Pradesh has emerged as a trailblazer in education reform by launching Foundation Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) training for Grade 1 and 2 teachers in government schools. This groundbreaking initiative, announced by State Project Director B. Srinivasa Rao, aims to enhance educational quality in line with the National Educational Policy.

The FLN Training Program, organized by the School Education Department and Samagra Shiksha, was officially inaugurated on Monday at the YeS-J Convention Center, Andhra Loyola College campus. The launch saw the presence of key officials including Additional Director A. Subba Reddy and NTR District DEO, among others, underscoring the importance placed on this educational endeavor.

Srinivasa Rao emphasized the program's focus on improving early education for children aged 3 to 8, to foster a stronger educational foundation. Spanning six days and involving 34,000 teachers, the training is designed to transform the government education system and reduce the dependency on private schooling, providing a vital boost to public education standards.
