Shares of HDFC Bank experienced a nearly 3% rise on Monday after the financial institution revealed a 6% increase in its net profit for the September quarter on a consolidated basis.

HDFC Bank's stock, closing at Rs 1,728.80 on the BSE, became the largest gainer among BSE Sensex firms, witnessing a surge of 2.83%. During the day, the stock peaked at Rs 1,748.20.

The banking giant's market valuation saw a significant rise of Rs 36,360.66 crore, reaching a total of Rs 13,19,208.95 crore. On the volume front, 14 lakh shares changed hands on the BSE while 232.74 lakh shares were traded on the NSE.
