Delhi Police reported the arrest of five individuals following a shooting incident near Raja Market in Delhi's Welcome area. The altercation resulted in one person, Ifra, being injured and admitted to GTB Hospital for medical care.

Officials stated that on October 19, police received information regarding a quarrel and gunfire at Z-II near Raja Market. Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered eight empty cartridges, two live cartridges, and seven deformed metal pieces scattered on the street.

The suspects, identified as Samad (28), Shanu (30), Kasim (23), Hasim (22), and Mohd Noor (22), reportedly exchanged gunshots over a dispute. Their arrests were made possible with the assistance of a confidential informant and technical surveillance, leading to raids at several locations where police recovered three weapons and additional cartridges from the accused.

The investigation aims to capture another suspect involved in the shooting and recover any missing weapons. The police have filed charges under Sections 109(1)/3(5) BNS and the 27 Arms Act, continuing to pursue leads in the case. (ANI)
