In a determined pledge to end Naxalism, Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker and former Chief Minister Raman Singh affirmed that both the state government and Union Home Minister Amit Shah are devoted to eradicating the threat within a year. This announcement follows a tragic incident where two ITBP jawans died in an IED explosion in the Narayanpur district.

Addressing media representatives in Raipur, Singh highlighted the persistent pressure exerted on Naxal forces, mentioning that security forces' joint operations have resulted in the elimination of approximately 190 Naxalites over the past year. Such developments underscore the government's resolve and the determination of Amit Shah in combatting Naxalism actively.

Earlier, Minister Tank Ram Verma honored the deceased ITBP personnel, emphasizing the state's efforts to rid Chhattisgarh of Naxal influence. The region continues to be on high alert as operations uncovering Naxal strongholds have intensified. Meanwhile, two Narayanpur district police officials wounded in a Naxal encounter are reported to be in stable condition.
