Pro-Russian bloggers report that Russian advancements have quickened since early 2022, even as Ukrainian forces reclaim areas.
Moscow's recent focus has been the Donbas region, with Russian forces surrounding and steadily squeezing key towns until Ukrainian troops withdraw. Blogger Yuri Podolyaka claims the assault on Selydove has escalated. The Russian Defense Ministry and Kyiv haven't commented on these developments.
Holding control over 80% of Donbas, Russian forces aim to secure the strategic towns of Pokrovsk and Kurakhove. As the conflict enters a precarious phase, NATO remains apprehensive about Ukraine's push for membership, a stance Moscow strongly opposes.
