In a strategic move to bolster law enforcement and community rapport, Punjab's Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav embarked on an unannounced nighttime inspection across four districts. Undertaking this surprise visit as part of the 'Night Domination' initiative, Yadav scrutinized checkpoints and police operations, according to directives from Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.

The tour encompassed districts such as SAS Nagar, Ludhiana, Khanna, and Fatehgarh Sahib, focusing on evaluating nighttime security measures and assessing the functionality of special checkpoints. Engaging directly with both citizens and officers, DGP Yadav aimed to gauge grassroots-level feedback and on-ground working conditions.

Emphasizing priorities like eliminating street crimes and drug-related issues, Yadav highlighted the role of Commissioners of Police and Senior Superintendents in addressing these challenges. Besides reviewing advanced crime-combat technologies like the VAHAN and PAIS systems, the DGP reiterated efforts to maintain public trust and safety through persistent police initiatives.
