In a significant move marking the rejuvenation of Andhra Pradesh's capital city, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu relaunched reconstruction efforts for Amaravati on Saturday. Naidu announced plans to develop Visakhapatnam into a financial hub while establishing a High Court bench and industries in Kurnool, targeting comprehensive regional development.

Naidu stressed Amaravati's self-financing nature and decried misinformation campaigns suggesting exorbitant costs. With unprecedented farmer support, nearly 34,241 acres were voluntarily pooled for the project, a statistic Naidu proudly credits to his party, TDP. He commended the resilience of women who opposed the former administration's policies, reaffirming their vital role in moving the project forward.

Drawing comparisons to Hyderabad, Naidu reiterated that Amaravati will flourish without direct financial investment, akin to the successful infrastructure development seen in the previous capital. His vision includes Amaravati as a hub for global education institutions such as VIT, SRM, and XLRI, and advancing plans for a bullet train network connecting major southern cities.
