Union Home Minister Amit Shah will engage with 188 Indian Police Service (IPS) probationers on Tuesday to address challenges in safeguarding the nation's internal security. According to a statement from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), this interaction takes place in the national capital as part of the training program for the 76 RR (2023 Batch).

The session will provide an opportunity for the probationary officers to share their training experiences with Minister Shah. The Home Minister's insights are anticipated to play a crucial role as these young officers contribute to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of India as a developed nation by 2047, according to the MHA.

The 2023 batch of the Indian Police Service consists of 188 trainee officers, including 54 women. Having completed their Phase-1 Basic Course Training, they are poised to begin 29 weeks of district-level practical training across various cadres following a two-week program with the Central Armed Police Forces and Central Police Organisations in Delhi.
