Third Suspect in Baba Siddique Murder Case Remanded in Police Custody
Pravin Lonkar, the third suspect in the murder case of NCP leader Baba Siddique, has been remanded in police custody till October 21. His arrest follows the shooting and subsequent death of Siddique in Mumbai. Lonkar is linked to a conspiracy involving additional suspects.

The Esplanade court in Mumbai on Monday sent Pravin Lonkar, the third suspect in the assassination of NCP leader Baba Siddique, to police custody until October 21. Lonkar was presented before the court following a medical examination earlier in the day.
Mumbai Police Crime Branch apprehended Pravin Lonkar on Sunday in Pune in connection with the murder. Baba Siddique was killed after being shot near his office in Nirmal Nagar, suffering multiple gunshot wounds, which led to his death at Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital on Saturday night.
Authorities have identified the accused as 28-year-old Pravin Lonkar, who is the sibling of another suspect, Shubham Lonkar. Both are allegedly part of the plot orchestrated with Dharmaraj Kashyap and Shivkumar Gautam. An ossification test confirmed that Kashyap, another accused, is not a minor.
The ossification test, a medical procedure determining age via bone fusion analysis, confirmed Kashyap's adult status. Meanwhile, Siddique was laid to rest with full state honors in Mumbai's Bada Qabrastan on Sunday.
Moreover, investigation reveals that Baba Siddique's son, Zeeshan, was also targeted. Police state the accused were contracted to eliminate both father and son. Zeeshan, who reportedly received threats shortly before the incident, narrowly escaped the tragic events. (ANI)
