In celebration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 23 years of leadership, 'Development Week' is underway, including notable events across the state such as in Narmada district. A 'Vikas Padayatra' will be conducted at 9:00 am on October 15 at the iconic Statue of Unity. This is part of a broader initiative marking significant development milestones during Modi's public service career.
This development walk is headed by Gujarat's Minister of Food and Civil Supplies, Bhikhusinhji Parmar, alongside various district department leaders and community representatives, including educators, healthcare workers, and civil volunteers. Their participation underscores unity across societal sectors in recognizing Modi's first administrative role on October 7, 2001, as Gujarat's Chief Minister.
Inspired by Modi's earlier successes, the BJP-led government continues to push progressive welfare programs initiated during his tenure as Chief Minister. Since taking office as Prime Minister on May 26, 2014, Modi is now in his third consecutive term. Union Home Minister Amit Shah has commended Modi for this extensive and influential political journey, attributing its legacy as a significant source of motivation for public servants nationwide.
