The Ministry of Women and Child Development and its associated bodies have embarked on Special Campaign 4.0, focusing on improving cleanliness and addressing backlog references from October 2 to October 31, 2024. According to an official press release, they have identified locations for cleanliness efforts, planned space management, and targeted the removal of scrap and outdated items in line with GFR guidelines.

In addition, during this preparatory phase, all outstanding references, including those from MPs, state governments, inter-ministerial memos, and other sources, have been processed and cataloged on the campaign portal. The Union Minister for Women and Child Development visited the Central Adoption Resource Authority in New Delhi on October 4 to contribute to the initiative and check on ongoing cleanliness activities.

The initiative also includes an environmental focus, with the Minister engaging in tree planting to emphasize sustainability. Superintendent inspections of other Ministry offices, including those at Jeevan Tara and Jeevan Vihar buildings, were conducted by senior officers to oversee cleanliness and record management activities on October 9.
