Union Home Minister Amit Shah has praised the Delhi Police and Gujarat Police for their successful crackdown on drug trafficking, highlighting operations that resulted in the seizure of narcotics valued at Rs 13,000 crore. Shah asserted that the central government remains steadfast in its mission to eradicate drug abuse among the country's youth.

The commendations came after a major joint operation on October 13, in which police from both states seized 518 kilograms of cocaine, with an estimated value of Rs 5,000 crore, from Avkar Drugs Limited Company in Ankleshwar, Gujarat. This action follows an earlier raid on October 1 by the Special Cell of Delhi Police, which uncovered 562 kilograms of cocaine and 40 kilograms of hydroponic marijuana at a warehouse in Mahipalpur.

Investigations revealed that the narcotics were linked to the Pharma Solution Services company, originating from Avkar Drugs Limited Company in Gujarat. Altogether, Delhi Police reports state that in October alone, law enforcement has confiscated a substantial 1,289 kilograms of cocaine and 40 kilograms of hydroponic Thailand marijuana, cumulatively valued at Rs 13,000 crore.
