Delhi Chief Minister Atishi engaged in her first official meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday, highlighting the need for robust collaboration between the central administration and the Delhi government. Her objective is to foster welfare and progressive strides for the capital city.
"Engaged with Hon'ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji today," Atishi expressed on the social platform X. She anticipates a harmonious partnership between the Centre and her administration. Following Arvind Kejriwal's resignation, Atishi assumed office as Delhi's third female Chief Minister in September, joining the ranks of predecessors Sushma Swaraj and Sheila Dikshit.
The AAP government, led by Atishi, has faced tensions with Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena on multiple issues. Recently, a dispute arose regarding the assignment of the 6 Flag Staff Road bungalow for the Chief Minister's residence, involving the AAP, the BJP, and the LG's office. With Delhi elections approaching next year, political maneuvers are intensifying.
