In the wake of Haryana's Assembly elections, AAP MP Sanjay Singh pointed to strategic errors as the cause of Congress's defeat, proposing that alliances with AAP or the Samajwadi Party might have curtailed the 'Jat-non-Jat politics'.
He noted that a collaborative effort, akin to the National Conference-Congress alliance in Jammu and Kashmir, could have changed the political outcome in Haryana. Singh remarked that 17 rebel candidates' victories over Congress candidates highlight the party's internal challenges, asserting AAP's intention to contest alone in Delhi.
As BJP secured 48 seats in the 90-member assembly, poised to form its third consecutive government, its Haryana state president, Mohan Lal Badoli, attributed Congress's failure to Bhupinder Singh Hooda. Despite the setback, Congress sought the Election Commission's intervention over alleged discrepancies with electronic voting machines, emphasizing the need for an investigation.
