Odisha Strengthens Security for Grand Durga Puja
Odisha has ramped up its security measures for the upcoming Durga Puja celebrations. With around 205 security platoons deployed, the state aims to ensure a safe and grand celebration. Traffic protocols have been set, with Central Armed Police Forces assisting in major districts, focusing on bustling areas like Cuttack.

As Durga Puja approaches, Odisha is tightening its security mechanisms. Sanjay Kumar, the Additional Director General of Police for Law and Order, announced that special arrangements are being implemented across the state to ensure the upcoming festivities are both grand and secure.
Kumar confirmed that around 205 platoons of security forces are now deployed in anticipation of large gatherings in districts including Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Sambalpur, and Balasore. Additionally, enhanced security has been established with the presence of Central Armed Police Forces, including CRPF and BSF units in Bhadrak district, to maintain peace during festivities.
Key personnel have been positioned to lead the security efforts, including one SP rank officer and multiple Additional SPs, DSPs, and Inspectors. Traffic guidelines are being communicated publicly to facilitate movement and ensure efficient management, with particular attention to critical roads and parking facilities in Cuttack, Kumar stated.
