In celebration of the 19th anniversary of the Right to Information Act, Uttarakhand's Public Information Officers and First Appellate Officers received accolades at a special ceremony held at the Raj Bhavan Auditorium.
During the event organized by the State's Information Commission, Uttarakhand Governor Gurmit Singh praised the officers for their exceptional work, as stated in an official release.
Chief Information Commissioner-in-charge, Vivek Sharma, acknowledged the Uttarakhand Police for their significant contributions towards enhancing transparency. The police department, led by Director General Abhinav Kumar, was particularly commended for its efforts in swiftly addressing applications. SHO of Narendra Nagar, Gopal Dutt Bhatt, received individual recognition for his outstanding service, with acknowledgments that emphasize the importance of accountability in governance.
