Assam Rifles marked World Mental Health Day on Thursday by organizing a Yoga and Meditation Camp in J Pabram Village, Tamenglong district, Manipur. The initiative aimed to raise consciousness about mental health issues and mobilize efforts to support affected youths and elderly individuals, according to an official press release.
The camp enthusiastically welcomed approximately 100 participants from five villages, spanning children to the elderly. Attendees were encouraged to advocate for positive mental health, emphasizing the significance of personal health and social well-being in achieving a fulfilling life. Residents praised the Assam Rifles for fostering community connectivity in the pursuit of mental health improvement.
Simultaneously, Assam Rifles conducted an informative session at Shining Star School in Aizawl, Mizoram. The lecture focused on mental health awareness, fostering open dialogue, and supporting mental well-being among students, faculty, and local residents. Mental health experts highlighted the relevance of recognizing mental health as integral to overall well-being and stressed emotional intelligence development. The students expressed gratitude for Assam Rifles' peaceful contributions and requested similar future initiatives.
