In a solemn tribute, Goa's Chief Minister Pramod Sawant honored the late Ratan Tata, lauding him as a 'great industrialist' who played a pivotal role in inspiring youth to venture into the industrial sector. Ratan Tata, aged 86, passed away at Breach Candy Hospital, Mumbai, leaving behind a legacy celebrated across the globe.

Reflecting on Tata's impact, Sawant highlighted his significant contributions to the Startup India movement, where Tata's investments and guidance encouraged many youngsters to embrace industrial entrepreneurship. Climate activist Sonam Wangchuk praised Tata for prioritizing societal impact over personal wealth, illustrating the potential role of corporations in nation-building.

Ratan Tata's final journey commenced from the NCPA lawns in Mumbai, where throngs came to pay their respects. Prominent attendees at the last rites included Union Ministers Amit Shah, Piyush Goyal, Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde, and Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis. Honoring Tata's legacy, Gujarat announced a day of mourning with flags flown at half-mast, reflecting the nation's deep respect for the veteran industrialist.
