Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat on Thursday expressed profound sorrow at the passing of distinguished industrialist Ratan Tata, dubbing his loss as a substantial blow to the nation. In a heartfelt message on social media, Bhagwat emphasized Tata's monumental contributions to India's development, remarking on his ability to set exceptional standards and pioneering initiatives within key industrial sectors.
Bhagwat also lauded Tata's humility and simplicity as traits of inspiration, noting that despite his remarkable success, Tata remained grounded and committed to societal welfare. 'His dedication to national unity, security, and employee welfare is unmatched, and his humble approach, even after reaching great heights, will forever serve as an exemplary model,' Bhagwat stated.
Meanwhile, the Maharashtra cabinet, led by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, unanimously passed a resolution urging the Centre to bestow the Bharat Ratna upon the late Ratan Tata in light of his extraordinary achievements. Tata, whose life and work touched countless individuals, was lauded during a state cabinet meeting, and a day of mourning has been declared in Maharashtra. Tributes poured in from leaders across the country, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as the state prepares to perform Tata's last rites with full honors.
