Kerala's scenic Wayanad district is gearing up to host a major global event in December: a livestock conclave touted as the largest of its kind in the country. Organizers from Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University expect to draw around five lakh participants.
The conclave, scheduled for December 20-29 at Pookode Veterinary College, promises to be a significant platform for showcasing cutting-edge technologies and value-added products in the livestock, dairy, and aquafarming sectors. Minister J Chinchurani emphasized its potential to advance native dairy, cattle, and pet industries while generating employment.
This 10-day extravaganza will feature exhibitions across two lakh square feet, as well as expert-led seminars and workshops on modern husbandry techniques and animal disease prevention strategies. Such initiatives are expected to enhance Kerala's economy through the development of the state's livestock sector.
