Authorities in Bhopal have seized chemicals worth Rs 60 lakh, allegedly used in the production of MD (Methylenedioxymethamphetamine) drugs, from a warehouse linked to the prime suspect, Amit Chaturvedi. This follows a prior seizure of MD drugs valued at Rs 1,814 crore from a local factory.

The warehouse, located near Rapandia square in the city's Katra Hills area, was rented by Chaturvedi. Police, acting on suspicious activity reports, found a significant cache of chemicals, which they believe were intended for drug manufacturing. Deputy Commissioner of Police, Sanjay Kumar Agarwal, confirmed the discovery of materials identical to those found during the previous raid.

An investigation is underway to determine the extent of Chaturvedi's network. Legal action has been initiated against property owners who failed to report Chaturvedi as a tenant. Meanwhile, both Chaturvedi and his associate, Sanyal Bane, remain in custody following the factory's bust.
