The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) secured a significant victory in the Haryana Assembly election, marking a third consecutive triumph. Newly elected MLA Anil Vij from Ambala Cantt attributed the success to a 'pro-incumbency' wave, countering public discussions of anti-incumbency. Vij highlighted BJP's achievements in combatting corruption and system reforms, emphasizing the party's intentions to establish a government.

Amidst these declarations, the Congress party pointed fingers at alleged Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) tampering following their defeat. Congress leaders Jairam Ramesh and Pawan Khera raised serious concerns over the counting process, asserting their readiness to present these issues before the Election Commission. The Congress claims the results subvert democratic transparency and argue that they do not reflect the state's ground realities.

On Election Commission data released, the BJP won 48 seats whereas Congress secured 37 seats in the 90-seat Haryana assembly. Independents claimed 3 seats, and the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) managed to obtain 2 seats, amidst Congress's struggle to leverage anti-incumbency sentiments against BJP, which has ruled for ten years.
