In a major joint counter-terror operation, the Indian Army, in collaboration with the Jammu Kashmir Police and other agencies, launched an extensive mission in the Kazwan Forest area of Kokernag on October 8. The operation is ongoing, with authorities focusing efforts on locating a missing Territorial Army soldier.

According to reports, two soldiers were abducted by terrorists in Anantnag's forest region. One of the soldiers managed a daring escape, while the other remains missing, prompting a massive search and rescue operation within the dense forest terrain. The Chinar Corps of the Indian Army has been actively updating the public about the situation through social media.

This operation follows another successful anti-terror endeavor in the Kupwara district, where security forces neutralized two terrorists and confiscated significant warlike materials. The joint operation, involving the Army, BSF, and Jammu and Kashmir Police, was a response to credible intelligence about potential terrorist infiltration through the Keran sector.
