Uttarakhand's Chief Minister, Pushkar Singh Dhami, officially opened the 116th All India Farmers Fair and Agro-Industry Exhibition at the Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology on Friday. During the event, Dhami toured various stalls and virtually inaugurated the Harela Garden. He honored progressive farmers with awards, underscoring their significant contributions.

Dhami praised the fair, highlighting its role as an essential hub for exchanging cutting-edge agricultural technologies and information. The Chief Minister emphasized the fair's invaluable contributions in providing farmers with vital supplies like advanced seeds and organic fertilizers, all under one roof. He described the fair as an agricultural 'Kumbh', pivotal for enhancing farmers' prosperity through technological awareness.

Dhami further elaborated on agricultural policies under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, noting increased Minimum Support Price for crops and the distribution of financial aid through the Kisan Samman Nidhi, benefiting over 8 lakh farmers in Uttarakhand. He highlighted state-level initiatives such as interest-free loans, equipment subsidies, and infrastructure investments aimed at improving agricultural productivity and incomes.
