Shiv Sena-UBT spokesperson Anand Dubey has condemned what he describes as a collapsing law and order situation in Maharashtra. His remarks come in response to the reported gang rape of a 21-year-old woman in Pune's Bopdev Ghat area on Thursday night, as outlined by Kondwa police.
Dubey criticized the state government, accusing Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Chief Minister Eknath Shinde of inattentiveness. 'Criminals are roaming fearlessly during Navratri,' he asserted, highlighting a perceived government indifference to law enforcement and public safety.
NCP-SCP MP Supriya Sule also expressed outrage, calling for Fadnavis's resignation amid repeated incidents in her constituency. She labeled Pune the state's crime capital and criticized the 'triple-engine government's' failure to maintain law and order.
