Amritsar, Punjab [India] — In a coordinated operation that underscores the ongoing battle against narcotics, the Border Security Force (BSF) and Punjab Police successfully intercepted a drug consignment in Amritsar district, seizing 550 grams of suspected heroin from farming fields near Daoke Village.

Based on intelligence gathered by the BSF, the joint forces acted swiftly on October 3rd, conducting a night raid that led to the recovery of the narcotics, intricately wrapped in yellow and blue adhesive tape. A steel ring and mini torch were also discovered, indicating sophisticated trafficking methods employed by smugglers using drones across the border.

In a parallel operation, SAS Nagar Police dismantled an international drug syndicate with the arrest of Sukhdeep Singh and Krishan, recovering 1.5 kg of heroin and uncovering links to Afghan handlers in Delhi. This joint initiative, combined with ongoing intelligence work, marks a significant disruption of global drug networks and reflects Punjab's unwavering commitment to eradicate drug-related threats.
