In a vehement attack, Union Home Minister Amit Shah condemned the Congress party following revelations of a Congress leader's alleged connection to a colossal drug consignment worth Rs 5,600 crore seized in North India. Shah expressed his outrage on social media, emphasizing the Modi government's unwavering zero-tolerance stance against drugs.
Shah accused Congress of leading the youth into the 'dark world of drugs,' which he claims had been evident in Punjab, Haryana, and other northern regions during Congress's rule. He contrasted this with the Modi administration's efforts to guide the youth towards sports, education, and innovation.
Asserting the government's resolve to dismantle the drug network regardless of political influence, Shah assured that no political stature would deter efforts to make India drug-free. The Home Minister's statements followed the Delhi Police's crackdown on an international drug syndicate led by Congress's Tushar Goyal, linking the operation to Dubai's drug supply chains.
