As the Shardiya Navratri festival commences, the Hindu Seva Parishad in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, has initiated a cultural decorum campaign. The organization has put up posters across local temples, advising devotees to dress in traditional attire and avoid wearing inappropriate clothing such as shorts, mini skirts, and ripped jeans during their visits.

City Vice President Nitin Sonpali emphasized the importance of maintaining Sanatan cultural values during the sacred Navratri period dedicated to worshiping Goddess Durga. He stated that both men and women should respect temple sanctity by choosing decent clothing such as sarees and salwar suits over modern, revealing outfits.

Priest Shri Lal Mishra of Mahakali temple endorsed the initiative, highlighting the need for modesty in temples. Local women have expressed their support for this campaign, accentuating the significance of adhering to traditional dress codes. As Navratri unfolds, devotees across Madhya Pradesh engage in prayers and celebrations honoring the divine feminine spirit.
