A new complaint lodged by Pradeep Kumar seeks an investigation and registration of a case against Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and others for evidence tampering in the MUDA land scam. The allegations include the destruction of crucial evidence related to the illegal acquisition of 14 land sites.
The complaint names Siddaramaiah's son, Yathindra Siddaramaiah, and accuses both of abusing public office for personal financial gains between their respective terms. Pradeep Kumar had previously reported these transgressions involving MUDA to the Karnataka Governor, citing violations of legal provisions in land acquisitions.
Earlier, activist Snehamayi Krishna, who petitioned in the MUDA scam case, complied with the Enforcement Directorate's summons and submitted pertinent documents. He emphasized the scam's enormity, involving thousands of crores, and demanded a thorough investigation. Following court orders, the Lokayukta has begun probing allegations of illegalities, as the CM's wife offered to relinquish the controversial plots.
