Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami extended birthday greetings to former Chief Minister Major General (retd) Bhuvan Chandra Khanduri, wishing him a healthy and long life. Dhami visited Khanduri's residence in Vasant Vihar for the occasion.

Major General Khanduri, who served as Uttarakhand's Chief Minister from 2007 to 2009 and again from 2011 to 2012, is a senior BJP member and represented the Garhwal constituency in the 16th Lok Sabha. Chief Minister Dhami also paid tribute to the martyrs of the Uttarakhand statehood movement, recalling their sacrifices on the anniversary of the Muzaffarnagar incident (Rampur Tiraha firing case).

Highlighting the state's journey, Dhami stated, "Uttarakhand became a separate state due to the sacrifices and struggles of the state agitators, and the government is committed to the state's development in their honor." He emphasized that the government's efforts aim to make this the decade of Uttarakhand, with all-round progress reflecting the dreams of the martyrs. Uttarakhand was officially formed on November 9, 2000, following the Uttar Pradesh Reorganisation Act approved by then-President K R Narayanan.
