NIA Raids Uncover Vital Clues in CPI (Maoist) Conspiracy Case
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) carried out searches in multiple West Bengal districts to uncover a CPI (Maoist) plot to revive its presence. Incriminating items were seized, and the investigation continues.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted multiple raids across various districts in West Bengal on Tuesday, targeting a CPI (Maoist) conspiracy intended to rejuvenate its Eastern Regional Bureau. The raids spanned 11 locations, including South 24 Pargana, Asansol, Howrah, Nadia, and Kolkata.
According to the NIA, the suspects were overground workers believed to have aided CPI (Maoist) commanders in executing Naxal activities. The searches yielded several incriminating documents, electronic devices, pamphlets, magazines, and handwritten letters.
Case RC-01/2022/NIA/RNC involves a plot by Polit Bureau and Central Committee members of the banned CPI (Maoist) to revive and propagate their ideology in Jharkhand, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, and other northern and eastern states. Six individuals, including senior CPI (Maoist) members, have been arrested so far. The investigation is ongoing.
