Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has highlighted that solving minor issues faced by farmers can increase their income by up to 20%.

During a meeting with the Bharatiya Kisan Union (Independent) as a part of his 'direct dialogue' initiative, launched on September 24, Chouhan tackled diverse challenges plaguing the agricultural sector.

Concerns such as contaminated factory water, replacing burnt transformers, reducing crop costs, ensuring fair prices, and preventing waterlogging were discussed. Additionally, the implications of excessive pesticide use and access to government schemes were deliberated. The minister assured that state-specific concerns will be forwarded to respective authorities for swift action.
