U.N. nuclear agency chief Rafael Grossi will arrive in Belarus on Tuesday, where he is scheduled to engage in high-level talks in Minsk and inspect the country's nuclear power plant in Ostrovets, according to an agency announcement.

During his visit to the Ostrovets NPP, Grossi and his team of experts will evaluate the plant's condition nearly four years after its integration into the grid. They will also examine the progress made in response to the findings of an International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) operational safety review conducted in 2021, the IAEA stated.

The assessment is crucial for understanding the advancements made and ensuring ongoing safety measures are effectively implemented at the Ostrovets site.
