This visit marks PM Modi's second trip to Jharkhand within 17 days, following his visit to Jamshedpur on September 15. The 'Parivartan Yatra' commenced from six different locations on September 20 and has featured participation from central and state-level BJP leaders aiming to energize party workers. Covering a distance of 5000 kilometers through 200 blocks, the yatra will conclude in Hazaribagh.

Senior BJP leaders such as party president JP Nadda, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh have already taken part in the yatra. The Election Commission has yet to announce the schedule. In the 2020 assembly election, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha secured 30 seats, BJP won 25, and Congress obtained 16.
