Union Health Minister JP Nadda on Monday highlighted the unique challenges faced by Indian doctors, pointing out that the sheer number of patients in Indian hospitals is unmatched globally. Nadda spoke at the 10th Convocation Ceremony of the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Medical Sciences, Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital, attended by President Droupadi Murmu at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.

Nadda underscored the country's investment in medical education, stating that the government spends around Rs 30-35 lakh per medical student annually. Addressing the graduates, he emphasized that their achievements are not solely due to their own efforts but also the support of parents, teachers, and institutional staff.

The Health Minister called on the new doctors to provide selfless and dedicated service to the nation, acknowledging the societal contributions that have enabled their education. He also stressed the importance of recognizing and understanding the substantial patient care and research work done by Indian doctors. (ANI)
