On Monday, Chief Minister Manik Saha is set to attend a state-level seminar organized by the Department of Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs in Tripura. The seminar, held at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan in Agartala, aims to create awareness about consumer rights and will see the launch of clubs in 100 selected schools, 18 colleges, and universities across the state. These clubs are intended to educate students about their rights as consumers and promote responsible consumption.

The seminar is a critical part of the government's broader strategy to enhance consumer protection measures in Tripura. It aims to unite policymakers, legal professionals, educators, and students in in-depth discussions focused on strengthening consumer rights and knowledge across the region. Another key government initiative includes establishing consumer clubs to build a better-informed consumer community, essential for addressing consumer concerns effectively.

Dignitaries like Sushanta Chaudhary, Minister of Food & Civil Supply, and Dipak Majumder, Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation, along with other key officials, will be present. Students from various educational institutions will participate, marking a significant advance in consumer rights advocacy in Tripura. CM Saha has previously led multiple welfare initiatives, including a recent blood donation camp organized in honor of PM Modi's birthday by the Bharatiya Janata Party Mandal Committee of Banamalipur at the Nazrul Kalakshetra Auditorium. Saha commended PM Modi's efforts in healthcare, education, and infrastructure and encouraged public support to drive regional progress.
