The IFSO Unit of Delhi Police has successfully dismantled a syndicate responsible for duping victims under the guise of installing CNG and petrol pumps, resulting in three arrests. The suspects deceived a complainant out of Rs 2.39 crore by promising to set up a CNG pump on his land.
Upon receiving the complaint, police registered a case and traced the money trail through various dummy bank accounts. Investigators uncovered that the documents provided by the suspects were forged and quickly pinpointed the fraudsters' locations using technical surveillance. Amit Kumar Pandey, Amrendra Kumar, and Amar Singh were apprehended for their roles in the scam.
The accused posed as officials from Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) and used fake documents and SIM cards registered in other people's names to evade detection.
