The Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA), a statutory body of Indian Railways, has called for bids for the residential development of a prime railway land parcel in Punjabi Bagh (West), Delhi. The land, spanning 46,313.39 square meters, is valued at Rs 1100 crore and will be leased for 99 years, according to an official RLDA statement.
The parcel is strategically located, bordered by Shakurbasti Railway Station to the north, vacant railway land to the east and west, and NH-9 (Rohtak Road) to the south. It offers excellent connectivity, being close to Old Rohtak Road (NH 9) and Ring Road, as well as metro stations like Madipur and Shivaji Park. This makes it an accessible and highly attractive site for developers.
Situated in a bustling commercial region of West Delhi, near major hubs and the DMRC Green Line, the land offers significant potential for both commercial and residential development. RLDA, under the Ministry of Railways, aims to optimize railway land through various development projects, including station redevelopment and multifunctional complexes.
