On Monday, the Delhi High Court permitted a petitioner to make a representation to the Delhi Police Commissioner to address the removal of the blockade at the Singhu border (NH-44). The petitioner asserted that the blockade had severely disrupted traffic and lacked alternative routes for commuters.

The court, led by Chief Justice Manmohan and Justice Tushar Rao Gedela, directed the petitioner to approach the police commissioner and subsequently disposed of the plea. Petitioners Shankar Mor, Sachin Aneja, and Shivam Dhamija filed the public interest litigation through their advocates Mohit Gupta, Sachin Miglani, and others.

The petition underscored that the blockade, set during a failed farmer protest, has persisted for months, forcing commuters to navigate hazardous ancillary roads. The disruption has caused significant delays, particularly affecting those requiring medical care and essential services. Despite the protest's cessation, the prolonged blockade continues to hinder public movement and access.
