On Monday, JanaSena Party leader Kiran Royal lambasted the Yuvajana Shramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) government, accusing it of substantial corruption in the state pertaining to Prasads, tickets, and engineering works. 'The YSRCP government committed numerous corrupt acts at the Tirumala Venkateswara Temple, including scams related to ladoos, tickets, tenders, and engineering projects. The state government's vigilance teams are currently investigating all these irregularities,' Royal stated while speaking to ANI.

Addressing the Tirupati Prasadam scam, Royal mentioned, 'A Public Interest Litigation has been filed to the Supreme Court, and it will be heard today. We are dedicated to ensuring justice for those involved in these scams. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) is probing allegations of adulteration in the prasadam laddus of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam, and the truth about their misconducts will soon emerge.' Amid the ongoing investigation, the Vishva Hindu Parishad held a protest demonstration at Kachiguda against the desecration of the Tirupati laddu prasadam of Sri Venkateswara Swamy.

The SIT visited Tirupati on Saturday to commence its investigation into the claims of adulteration in the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) 'Prasadam Laddu'. Later, the SIT convened a meeting at Padmavathi Guest House in Tirupati to delve into the allegations. The controversy around the Tirupati Prasadam ignited after Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu alleged that substandard ingredients, including animal fat, were used in the preparation of Tirupati laddus during the previous YSRCP administration.

Earlier, YSRCP leader Jagan Mohan Reddy countered these charges, asserting that CM Naidu was 'blatantly lying' about the Tirupati Laddu Prasadam, noting that the ghee procurement e-tender is a longstanding routine process. 'The tyrannical rule continues in the state. The government is obstructing my upcoming visit to the Tirumala temple. Police have issued notices to YSRCP leaders statewide concerning the temple visit, stating it lacks the necessary approvals, thereby prohibiting leaders from participating,' Reddy stated at a press conference.
