In a tragic road rage incident in Delhi, a petition has been filed in the High Court concerning the detention of the wife of an accused, following the death of a Delhi Police constable. The habeas corpus petition, filed by the accused's counsel, alleges illegal detention by the Delhi Police.

Chief Justice Manmohan and Justice Tushar Rao Gedela, who form the bench, have noted the plea and scheduled a hearing for October 1 to scrutinize the legality of the wife's detention. The advocate has urged the court to release the wife, claiming the accused should be the one in custody.

The incident occurred two days ago in the Nangloi area, resulting in the death of 30-year-old Delhi Police constable Sandeep. He was killed after being dragged for 10 meters by a speeding car when he tried to stop the reckless driver. The car has been seized, but the driver remains at large, with CCTV footage aiding the investigation.
