HCL Engineer Dies of Cardiac Arrest at Workplace in Nagpur

Nitin Edwin Michael, a 40-year-old engineer at HCL Technologies, passed away due to cardiac arrest at the company's Nagpur office. Discovered unconscious in the washroom, he was declared dead at AIIMS Nagpur. Police registered a case and HCL extended support to the family.

Nitin Edwin Michael, a 40-year-old engineer working with HCL Technologies in Nagpur, died from a cardiac arrest on September 27. Colleagues found him unconscious in the office washroom. He was rushed to AIIMS Nagpur but was declared dead upon arrival.

Sonegaon Police have registered a case of accidental death and sent Michael's body for a postmortem. Investigations into the circumstances are ongoing.

He leaves behind a wife and a six-year-old son. HCL Technologies released a statement expressing condolences to his family and committed to providing all possible support.

"This is an unfortunate and tragic loss. Emergency support was provided immediately at our campus clinic before taking him to the hospital. The well-being of our people is of utmost importance, and HCLTech offers healthcare programs, including on-campus clinics and annual health checks," the statement read.
