Ghaziabad Crime Branch Nabs Notorious Burglars After Dramatic Encounter

In a joint operation, Ghaziabad Police's Crime Branch and the Loni border police team captured two wanted burglars and two of their associates on Monday. The accused, Bhagat Pardi from Bilakhedi village and Khalnayak Pardi from Chhoti Kaneri village, had a reward of Rs 50,000 each on their heads. They were involved in a burglary at a jewellery shop in the Thana Loni Border area.
According to the police, the gang committed the theft on January 10, 2024. Some gang members were previously apprehended, and a reward of Rs 50,000 was announced in connection with the crime. The police received intelligence that the Madhya Pradesh-based Pardis gang, known for targeting jewellers, was planning another theft in the area.
The Crime Branch and Loni Border Police responded promptly and surrounded the gang at the Behta Hajipur underpass. Following a police encounter, they arrested four suspects, with two sustaining injuries during the clash. The arrested individuals include Vinod Pardi and Rahul Pardi, both from Bilakhedi village. Pistols, live cartridges, and stolen silver coins were recovered. The case has multiple theft, robbery, and dacoity charges, and further investigations are ongoing.
