Delhi Police have arrested an individual in connection with the tragic incident in West Delhi's Nangloi, where a police constable, Sandeep Malik, died after his motorcycle was hit and dragged by an allegedly inebriated driver. The case has sparked widespread concern.

According to the FIR, the incident occurred on Sunday at around 2 am. Constable Malik reportedly stopped two occupants of a car who were drinking alcohol inside the vehicle in a railway yard parking area. When they refused to leave, Malik signaled them to proceed to the police station. Instead, the car sped away, prompting the constable to give chase on his motorcycle.

Footage from CCTV later showed the car ramming into Malik's bike and dragging him for approximately 10 meters before crushing him against another parked vehicle. Despite being rushed to Sonia Hospital and later to Balaji Hospital in Paschim Vihar, Malik succumbed to his injuries. Police have apprehended the accused Rajneesh alias Sittu, while the main suspect, Dharmendra, remains at large. Multiple police teams are conducting raids across Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Haryana.

Constable Malik, a 2018 batch officer, was on patrol duty in civilian clothes due to increased burglaries in the area. The investigation is ongoing.
