NFR Introduces 26 Special Trains for Festive Rush

Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has announced the operation of 26 special trains, comprising 254 trips, to accommodate the surge in passengers during the Durga Puja, Diwali, and Chhath Puja festivals from October 1 to November 30.
According to the chief public relations officer of NFR, these special trains will cover key destinations such as Amritsar, Bengaluru, Gorakhpur, Prayagraj, Kolkata, Anand Vihar, and Shri Ganganagar. The initiative aims to bolster inter-connectivity within the zone, reaching areas like Agartala, Naharlagun, Silchar, New Tinsukia, Dibrugarh, and Katihar.
Indian Railways' plan for the festive season includes the operation of more than 6,000 special trains nationwide. The statement highlights the higher frequency compared to last year, targeting the ease of travel for millions of passengers. The initiative addresses the annual surge in demand, ensuring passengers reach their destinations safely and comfortably.
