BSF Recovers Drone and Drugs in Punjab Operations
The Border Security Force recovered a China-made DJI Mavic 3 drone in Tarn Taran on Sunday. This follows earlier operations with Punjab Police that seized a drone and heroin in Amritsar and Tarn Taran districts. The ongoing operations highlight heightened security efforts in border areas.

The Border Security Force (BSF) recovered a drone in Punjab's Tarn Taran during the morning hours on Sunday, according to a press release issued by the BSF. The operation was initiated after a combine harvester operator reported spotting a drone in a farming field. BSF troops promptly responded, conducting an extensive search operation.
The search culminated at around 11:40 a.m. with the recovery of a drone from a farming field near village CB Chand in Tarn Taran district. Officials identified the recovered drone as a China-made DJI Mavic 3 classic, as per the statement.
In a similar incident on the previous Monday, BSF and Punjab police recovered a drone in a farming field adjacent to Mahwa village in Amritsar district. Acting on information from the BSF intelligence wing, BSF troops, along with Punjab Police, carried out an extensive search operation in the border area of Amritsar district on September 23, the release stated.
Earlier, on September 12, a joint operation by the BSF and Punjab Police led to the recovery of a drone with 6.230 kg of suspected heroin in Tarn Taran district. On September 9, BSF troops recovered 1.180 kilogrammes of suspected heroin in the border area of Amritsar district.
