Security Tight in Baramulla Ahead of Final Polling Phase
Jammu and Kashmir police and security forces are ensuring tight security for the final phase of Assembly Elections in Baramulla scheduled for October 1. DIG Maqsood Ul Zaman and other senior officers reviewed the arrangements, expressing satisfaction with the efforts in line with Election Commission guidelines.

Jammu and Kashmir police, accompanied by other security forces, conducted a security review across the Baramulla Assembly Constituency on Sunday, ahead of the final phase of polling scheduled for October 1.
Baramulla DIG Maqsood Ul Zaman visited the constituency and stated that the security arrangements were made strictly in accordance with the guidelines set by the Election Commission of India (ECI), expressing confidence in the measures implemented.
Meanwhile, Inspector General of Police VK Birdi chaired a meeting on Sunday to assess the law and order situation in Srinagar. Senior officers from the police, security forces, and intelligence agencies attended the meeting. Assembly elections are being held in three phases, with the final voting round on October 1 and vote counting on October 8, marking the first elections since the abrogation of Article 370. (ANI)
