A Jammu-Kashmir police officer was killed after he gunned down a terrorist during an encounter in a remote village in Jammu-Kashmir's Kathua district on Sunday. The deceased has been identified as J-K Police Head Constable Bashir Ahmed.

In continuation of the encounter in village Kog (Mandli), under Billawar Police Station's jurisdiction, Head Constable Bashir Ahmed made the ultimate sacrifice by killing the terrorist.
