The Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) latest membership drive in Tripura has attracted an astounding 518,994 new members as of Friday. Chief Minister Manik Saha took to social media platform X to announce the milestone, expressing heartfelt gratitude to party workers for their relentless efforts.
On September 24 alone, a remarkable 400,000 people joined the party in Tripura. From Dharmanagar to Sabroom, the campaign has ignited widespread enthusiasm among the state's populace. Chief Minister Saha has been personally engaging with the public to support and expand the initiative.
The CM explained to ANI that the campaign aims to enlist around 1.2 million members in the state, targeting 500 new members at each booth. Launched initially by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 2, the drive has already seen significant participation, and CM Saha remains confident they will achieve their ambitious targets.
