Tripura Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu has been appointed to temporarily assume the responsibilities of Mizoram Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati, who is currently on leave. This announcement was made via an official release on Thursday, stating that President Droupadi Murmu sanctioned the temporary appointment.

In another significant development, Governor Nallu inaugurated an Indigo flight service that connects Agartala's Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport to Hyderabad. The launch ceremony included the traditional lighting of a ceremonial lamp, signaling the beginning of this new air route.

The introduction of the new flight route is expected to greatly enhance connectivity between the Northeastern region and Southern India.
